When choosing your hotel or hostal, keep in mind that MAD.BEAR will organise all events in or as close as possible to Chueca, Madrid's gay district. Any accommodation in the city centre (Chueca, Gran Via, Sol) will leave you close to all MAD.BEAR 2008 events. In general, hostal accommodation is of a good standard and is relatively cheap. Madrid has an excellent and cheap public transport (metro and bus) system with a metro service from the airport that will leave you in Chueca in less than 30 mins. Find out more about public transport at the followong sites.
If you can take time out from all the bear activities why not discover the city a little when you visit us. As one of Europe's cultural capitals, Madrid has excellent museums including The Prado, The Reina Sofia and Thyssen. For gastronomy lovers the food is varied (Spanish and international cuisine) and reasonably priced.
