MAD.BEAR was set up in the Autumn of 2001 to organise a Bear scene in Madrid and to the organise the Annual Bears Week-end of that year, which is now a huge international event. From that date, the Bears Week-end became known by the same name as the Association.
But Bears do not live by party week-ends alone! Mad.Bear seeks to organise a range of activities open to all who wish to participate such as trips, dinners, fun nights etc.
We hope to make Madrid a reference point in the bear world and wish to promote a climate of active participation.
In addition, the Club aims to act as a channel of communication with other Clubs in Spain and abroad, through exchanges and other joint activities.
MAD.BEAR is a non-profit making association. All income derived from the association's activities is reinvested to cover costs and organise less profitable activities which incur additional costs for the club. The clubs accounts are made available from time to time at club meetings which are open to all members.
We meet every Tuesday at 9 PM in Bears Bar (C/ Pelayo 4).
